Neuro Linguistic Practitioner Training

NLP Practitioner Training: 7 Days to Change How You Think, Communicate and Help Others Change

A practical, fully certified programme endorsed by ITCA (International Trainers and Coaching Academy; Grinder, Bostic & Carroll).
For people who want real skills, not just theory. Small group. Hands-on practice from day one. Led by Priti Parekh, a child behaviour specialist who uses these tools every working day.

INTRODUCTION
Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) is the study of how we think, how we use language, and how those patterns shape what we feel and do. Once you understand those patterns, you can change them, in yourself and in the people you support.
This 7-day Practitioner programme gives you the core NLP toolkit and the confidence to use it. You won’t spend a week watching slides. You’ll learn a technique, see it demonstrated, practise it in pairs and small groups, and get feedback straight away.
By the end you’ll hold a recognised NLP Practitioner certificate and a set of skills you can use the following Monday.

WHO IT’S FOR
This programme suits anyone whose work or life involves helping people think, feel or behave differently. It’s designed for:
• Teachers, teaching assistants and SENCOs who want calmer classrooms and better ways to reach anxious or dysregulated children
• Parents and carers who want to communicate with their children in ways that actually land
• Therapists, counsellors and coaches adding proven change techniques to their practice
• Social workers, youth workers and health professionals who need to build trust quickly
• Managers and leaders who want clearer communication and more influence
• Anyone curious about personal change: overcoming limiting beliefs, managing emotions, feeling more in control
No previous NLP experience is needed.

WHAT YOU’LL BE ABLE TO DO
By the end of the seven days you will be able to:
• Build rapport quickly and naturally, even with people who are guarded or resistant
• Notice the small signals, such as language, tone and posture, that show what someone is really experiencing
• Ask precise questions that get to the heart of a problem in minutes, not weeks
• Change your own emotional state when you need to, so you stay calm and resourceful under pressure
• Help others move out of stuck feelings, unhelpful habits and limiting beliefs
• Set goals that are clear, motivating and actually achieved
• Use language that calms, reassures and opens up new possibilities
• Run complete NLP change techniques with confidence, start to finish

THE SEVEN DAYS
Each day builds on the last, moving from understanding how people work to running full change techniques.
Day 1: Foundations of NLP. The presuppositions of NLP, how we filter experience, setting outcomes that work, and sensory acuity: learning to notice what others miss.
Day 2: Rapport and connection. Matching and pacing, representational systems (visual, auditory, kinaesthetic), eye-accessing cues, and building trust with children and adults alike.
Day 3: The language of change. The Meta Model, a set of precise questions that uncover what’s really going on, plus reframing to shift meaning.
Day 4: Influential language. The Milton Model, embedded suggestions and metaphor: language that calms, soothes and invites new possibilities.
Day 5: Managing states. Anchoring, collapsing anchors, chaining states and the circle of excellence, for accessing calm and confidence when it matters.
Day 6: Changing patterns. Submodalities, swish patterns, perceptual positions, timeline basics and parts integration: techniques for habits, fears and inner conflict.
Day 7: Beliefs and integration. Working with limiting beliefs, logical levels, the well-formed outcome in practice, putting it all together, and your Practitioner assessment.
Every day includes live demonstrations, supervised practice in pairs and threes, real-world examples (including from work with anxious and dysregulated children), and time to plan how you’ll use what you’ve learned.

HOW THE TRAINING WORKS
• Small group: a maximum of 20 participants, so you get real attention and feedback
• Learning by doing: around 70% of the time is hands-on practice, not lectures
• Pre-course reading: a short welcome pack so you arrive ready to start
• Manual and resources: a full Practitioner manual to keep, plus technique cheat sheets
• Ongoing support: a private online group / follow-up practice sessions after the course
Certification: On successful completion you’ll receive an NLP Practitioner certificate accredited by ITCA (International Trainers and Coaching Academy; Grinder, Bostic & Carroll).
Assessment is ongoing and supportive: you’ll demonstrate the core techniques during the week, with no written exam.

ABOUT YOUR TRAINER
Priti Parekh is a child behaviour specialist who has spent 9 years helping children manage anxiety and big emotions, mainly those aged 7 to 12 but older children and adults too in her private practice. She works alongside parents, teachers and schools to create calmer homes and classrooms.
She is the creator of BEARS, a self-regulation technique that helps anxious and dysregulated children settle in under a minute. NLP is central to her work: the tools you’ll learn on this course are the ones she uses every day with families and schools.
So you’re learning from someone who doesn’t just teach NLP but uses it in real situations, with real people. She did her NLP Practitioner and Master Practitioner courses 9 years ago and is now an NLP Trainer serving local and wider communities globally.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Do I need any experience of NLP?
No. The course starts from the basics and builds step by step.
Is seven days enough to become a Practitioner?
Seven days gives you a thorough grounding plus lots of supervised practice. You’ll also get pre-course reading and support afterwards to keep building your skills.
Will I have to share personal things?
You’ll practise techniques on real, everyday issues, but you always choose what you share. Nothing is forced. The beauty of NLP is that it is NOT necessary to share internal issues with the practitioner – only awareness is required. This is known as “content free” working.
Can I use NLP with children?
Yes. Throughout the week you’ll see how the techniques adapt for children and young people, drawing on Priti Parekh’s work with anxious children and their families.
Is NLP a replacement for therapy?
No. NLP is a set of communication and change skills. It works alongside clinical or therapeutic support but doesn’t replace it.
What if I miss a day?
You can catch up the missed day on a future course at no extra cost, however it is best to be fully committed so that your learning is continuous and fits in with the rest of the days.
What is your cancellation policy?
There is no cancellation available once your place is booked as this is reserved for you as soon as you pay – groups will not extend beyond 20 participants to ensure smooth and cohesive running.

CLOSING CALL TO ACTION
Ready to start?
Places are deliberately limited so everyone gets the practice and feedback they need. If you’d like to understand people more deeply, and help them change, this is where it begins.
